Clubhouse

The clubhouse was originally a Golf Hotel built in 1928 on lands adjoining the course. It was purchased by the Club in 1943 and was converted into a clubhouse to complement the fine golf course. Over the years the clubhouse has been extended and renovated to keep it in touch with modern standards such as the newly built locker rooms, reception & pro shop. However, the original frame still stands and one can’t help but feel the traditions as you make your way through the club. The walls are covered in photos which are steeped in history and tell many a story about the club.

Food & Beverage

The food and beverage is run by Michael Devine, who joined the club in 1987. He has established a fantastic reputation for delivering food and service of the highest standards. Situated close to the Fishing village of Clogherhead the menu offers fresh fish specials with the Clogherhead Scampi being a renowned favorite. Meat dishes are very popular, with most items sourced locally, which ensures the highest quality.   Such is the quality of the food and service, Michael picked up an award for winning “the best golf club restaurant of the year 2017”. With a selection of dishes from a Snack Menu and an A La Carte menu there are plenty of options to choose from to suit your needs.

Locker Rooms

The club provides a gent’s locker room and a ladies locker room. Both are fully equipped with lockers, showers and washrooms. Guests are welcome to full use of the facilities as well.

Pro Shop

The Pro-shop is managed by Head Professional Paddy McGuirk. It is well stocked with leading brands such as Oscar Jacobson, Peter Millar, Greg Norman and Ping; to name but a few. He sells a wide variety of crested apparel, with friendly staff available to assist you with your needs. Club hire is available from the shop, as is trolley rental. Caddies and buggies can be reserved through the reception.

Accommodation

A unique feature at County Louth is the availability of accommodation, providing visitors with the facility to stay overnighting in the clubhouse. There are 8 bedrooms upstairs, a mix of single and double/twin, all recently refurbished. Our Accommodation is approved by Failte Ireland under the recently launched 'Welcome Standard'.
